Sun River Health, a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC) in NYS, is offering a summer Penn State internship designed to provide a Penn State University (PSU) undergraduate student an opportunity to experience what a community health center is and the importance of public health. Selected students will develop foundational skills for a new career in community health care. During the summer, the intern will be mentored by a leader and assigned to a department for their in person experience. Student interest and passions are considered for placements. The internship is paid and interns will be dispersed throughout Sun River Health’s geography—the Hudson Valley, Long Island, and New York City. Housing support may be available.
If interested, please share your CV and a short paragraph about your interest in public health and community health centers with Danielle Daly at: ddaly@sunriver.org
The internship will run from June to August 2024, totaling approximately 350 hours. Some flexibility can be provided with time.
