Hudson River Health Care (HRHCare) and Brightpoint Health have come together as Sun River Health, the community health center where all people can get the care they need and the respect they deserve.

Although our name has changed, health care services, hours, locations, and doctors and providers remain exactly the same. As Sun River Health, you can now count on 400+ doctors and 43 health centers across the Hudson Valley, New York City, and Long Island.

The need for high-quality, affordable health care is as real today as it was when we opened our doors in 1975. At Sun River Health, we welcome everyone.

Why Sun River Health, and what does it mean?

The two words, Sun and River, pay homage to the heritage of our two legacy organizations, Hudson River Health Care and Brightpoint Health.

Since 1975 and 1990 respectively, HRHCare and Brightpoint Health have driven dramatic improvements in the health of the individuals and families we serve. These two Federally Qualified Health Center networks united in 2018 to form one organization, providing comprehensive health care and social support services across an expanded service area.
Our former brand referred to the sun and to water. Throughout history, the sun and water have been symbols of life and vitality. Much like life needs the sun and water to thrive, Sun River Health is essential for people to take care of their health and live a life full of possibilities.

Our new logo

Much like our name, our new visual system integrates elements of both Hudson River Health Care and Brightpoint Health. The sun icon represents our ability to shine a light on what’s important to our patients: dignity, respect, and the care they need. The stylized river waves recognize our rich Hudson River heritage, and represent healing, and the renewal and hope that good health brings.
