Gregory Harpring, MD, is an OB-GYN physician at Sun River Health in Brooklyn. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and his medical degree from Southern Illinois University. He completed his residency training at Lutheran General Hospital in the Chicagoland area, where he received the Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award, the American Urogynecologic Society Award, and the Alexander Ruggie Humanitarian Award. Dr. Harpring has a strong interest in minimally invasive approaches to benign gynecologic conditions, including robotic-assisted surgery. He also recognizes the importance of global health and participates in medical mission work in the Dominican Republic. Dr. Harpring provides full scope obstetric care including prenatal, delivery, and postpartum care.He also provides gynecologic care including surgical management with minimally invasive procedures including hysterectomy (removal of the uterus), myomectomy (removal of uterine fibroids), ovarian cyst removal, and bilateral salpingectomy (removal of the fallopian tubes) among other procedures. Additionally, Dr. Harpring is certified in robotic-assisted surgical procedures using the da Vinci robotic surgery system.
