Sun River Health is committed to providing the best care for our patients, and that includes a Corporate Compliance Program. The Sun River Health team works to ensure it complies with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations governing health care organizations. Though the Compliance Program is designed to prevent and detect fraud, waste, and abuse based on these regulations, it also has a primary responsibility to ensure that we foster an environment where patient safety and confidentiality are top priorities.

Furthermore, Sun River Health is guided by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) which establishes national standards for the maintenance of patient health information. Posted at all Sun River Health locations are Sun River Health’s Notice of Privacy Practices, which details Sun River Health’s commitment to privacy and HIPAA standards.

Sun River Health is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C 233(g)-(n). Therefore, Sun River Health is granted medical malpractice liability protection through the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) and are considered Federal employees with the Federal government acting as their primary insurer.

1- SMS Consent Communication:

When you sign up or opt in for text messages from Sun River Health, you are signing up to receive text messages about your health care with Sun River Health, including updates related to your visits, your Sun River Health patient portal account, billing notifications, prescription reminders if applicable, and care management.

The information (Phone Numbers) obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for any reason without your consent.

3- Message Frequency:
Message frequency may vary depending on the type of communication. For example, you may receive up to more than one SMS messages per week related to your upcoming appointments.

4- Potential Fees for SMS Messaging:

Please note that standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier’s pricing plan. These fees may vary if the message is sent domestically or internationally.

5- Opt-In Method:

You may opt-in to receive SMS messages from Sun River Health in the following ways:

  • Verbally, during a conversation at a visit or with the Sun River Health call center
  • By submitting an online form
  • By filling out a paper form

6- Opt-Out Method:

You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time. To do so, simply reply "STOP" to any SMS message you receive. Alternatively, you can contact us directly to request removal from our messaging list. To do this please call 844-400-1975.

7- Help:

If you are experiencing any issues, you can reply with the keyword HELP. Or, you can get help directly from us by calling 844-400-1975. This request does not apply to health emergencies: for any health emergency, please dial 911 immediately.

Additional Options:

  • If you do not wish to receive SMS messages, you can choose not to check the SMS consent box on our forms.
