The NYS Department of health has advised that due to extremely
high temperatures through Wednesday, adverse health effects may
result.

Your local Sun River Health center is available for any heat-related illness or symptoms you face. Please call (844-400-1975) or walk in. The National Weather Service is forecasting dangerous heat conditions across New York State through the middle of the week, with Heat Advisories posted through Wednesday evening. These conditions include high temperatures and humidity levels, especially during the afternoon into the early evening hours.

You may be at risk of you do not have air conditioning at home and you:

• Are over 65 years old
• Have an infant or young child
• Have a chronic health condition
• Are a heavy user of alcohol or illegal substances
• Have limited mobility
• Must work outdoors for extended periods
