Edwidge Thomas, DNP

Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Edwidge Thomas, DNP is an adult nurse practitioner at Sun River Health. A graduate of Rutgers University, she went on to receive her MSN and DNP from the Columbia University School of Nursing. Prior to joining Sun River Health, she served patients at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was the Clinical Lead of the Mount Sinai Performing Provider System, and at the NYU College of Nursing, where she was Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Practice Affairs. Ms. Thomas is licensed in the State of New York as an adult nurse practitioner and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She speaks both English and Haitian Creole.

That experience motivated me to enter the medical profession and become a catalyst for people to achieve and maintain their highest level of wellness. Outside of work, I like to spend quality time with my husband and three daughters, cook recipes my mother taught me, and go running.”

Sun River Health adult nurse practitioners provide excellent, comprehensive primary and preventive care to our adult patients. Our care team gets to know our patients’ individual health needs, learn about their health history, keeps track of any medications they are taking, and works with them to create a personal care plan.
